TESSA HASSETT, PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Tessa first became involved with NVTRP in 2002 when her younger sister began riding with the program. She was promoted to Program Director in 2021 after serving as Development Manager for the past seven years.
Under Tessa's leadership, income from both the Polo Classic and the Sponsor-a-Horse program has grown significantly. Her attention to detail, unflappable nature, and caring ways have been key to her success and will undoubtedly serve her well in her new role. She brings a strong knowledge of disabilities and passion for NVTRP’s mission, which will foster great things for our organization.
Tessa volunteered with NVTRP in college and after graduating from James Madison University with a degree in Psychology, she joined the NVTRP staff as the Development Assistant. She then achieved her certification as a therapeutic riding instructor through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International.
