These groups help with important projects including fence repair and painting, organizing storage areas, grounds and landscaping work, computer work, and other facility beautification jobs around the farm. Doing this work with like-minded people, all while giving time and energy to a great cause, makes this great fun for the entire team! NVTRP receives invaluable help and volunteers gain a sense of accomplishment and joy from helping others in their community.

KATIE WANSTRATH, OFFICE MANAGER
Katie Wanstrath became the Office Manager in 2015, coordinating office operations, as well as overseeing the auction for the Ride to Thrive Polo Classic, NVTRP’s largest yearly fundraiser. She became involved with NVTRP in 2012, creating the Ponies and Paintbrushes summer camp, a combination of therapeutic riding, art, and the outdoors- one of her favorite week’s of the year.
Katie graduated with an MA in Creative Arts Therapy from Hofstra University in 2011, specializing in work with elderly adults, and a BA from the University of Delaware in 2007, where she was on the Division I Women’s Rowing Team. Katie is an avid Washington Nationals fan and enjoys creating adventures outside with her family.
