Amanda is an occupational therapist who works in the public school system, where she supports students of all ages-- including young adults who are learning career and life skills.

Amanda is passionate about helping her clients find increased independence, especially through the promotion of physical and mental health and wellness.

Amanda discovered OT after volunteering at a therapeutic riding facility (a long time ago) in her home state of Rhode Island, so she is thrilled to come "full circle", joining the team at NVTRP in September 2018.

Amanda's skillset includes client-centered and evidence-based practices, such as: hippotherapy, constraint induced movement therapy, self-regulation skills, executive functioning training, social skills, ADL and life skill training, animal assisted therapy, post-secondary transition, and parent education. Amanda received her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Boston University.

When she's not working in schools or at NVTRP, you can find Amanda promoting health and wellness as a coach! She coaches CrossFit and has furthered her training as an Adapted & Including Fitness Trainer, so she can further support ALL athletes.
